Burundi National Army

A small air wing is operated within the army. Serviceability of the aircraft is believed to be extremely poor, given the country's economic state and the civil war which has been in various statesof activity since 1993.

Combat aircraft include 5 SIAI SF260W Warrior armed trainers and two SA342L Gazelle helicoters. A Falcon 50 is kept for VIP use, with 3 Alouette III helicopters for light transport and liaison duty with 2 Cessna 150L trainers. Two C-47 and 2 Mi-8 helicopters are believed to be unservicable.
