Cameroon Air Force

Originally a French African colony, Cameroon has a small but active air force, since the counrty's coastal borders are disputed with its neighbours, Nigeria and Equatorial Ginea. A composite squadron operates armed trainers, 5 Alphajets, 6 Potez CM-170 Magisters and 6 ex-South African MB -326 Impala (although 2 are used for training), 4 armed SA-342L Gazelle helicopters and 2 maritime Patrol Dpornier Do-128 Skyservants. Transport aircraft, some of which use civil registrations, include 3 Lockheed C130-H, a DHC-4 and 4 DHC-5D Buffalo, anotjher Do-128, a VIP Boeing 707 and Gulfstream III, an IAI-201 Arava and 2 Piper Aztecs, 3 bEll 206, 3 Eurocopter SA-318C Alouette II, 3 SA319 Alouette III, 2 AS332L Super Puma and an SA-365 Dauphin.
