Fiji Military Forces Air Wing Fiji Gained its independence from Britain in 1970 and established a small army and navy. An air element was created within the Army when France donated an AS355 Ecureuil II helicopter in 1989, although this machine and an SA365 Dauphin were both sold in 2000 and the air wing disbanded. |
