Year 2000 issue Queen Elizabeth crown. This badge and all those in this series have wrapped and sewn edges. They were issued in dark blue again after the RAAF returned to this colour from the lighter blue-grey uniforms issued in the 70's. Strangely, the lighter blue grey badges were only issued from the mid 1990's until the transfer to darrk blue again. Although tidily made, the quality is generally low, like a flight suite badge. This badge type is actually worn on all but dress uniform.
